Usually love Black Mirror
Bit disappointing to be honest. I am a great fan of black mirror but this one just didn’t do it for us like the others. Hope to see more episodes coming soon.

We’re in Unchartered Territory
I had to mark this post spoiler alert because I can’t review it without mentioning that it is interactive and mentioning that it is interactive is a spoiler.

Within half a minute of starting the movie I hear some instructions and the question, “Do you understand?” with the words Yes and No at the bottom of the screen. I thought, naturally, this was a POV movie and the main character was being asked the question. When I did nothing and the instructions and question was repeated I said, “It can’t be talking to me?!” But I decided to make a selection anyway just to see. And to say that we were tripped out is an understatement. Still, I thought maybe the movie hadn’t quite started and that was some Netflix thing. Well, when we were asked to select the cereal I was officially concerned, floored, excited and a bunch of other emotions. This was really happening!

The feeling I had was similar to a feeling I had years ago watching none other than Netflix. We were subscribers and used to getting DVDs in the mail but on this occasion Netflix had a movie I could watch for free online. Until then, that was unheard of for me anyway. The movie was a forgettable movie with Ricki Lake in it but I remember having the same feelings that I had watching Bandersnatch-like I’d crossed over this threshold in which things would never be the same again.

Bandersnatch itself wasn’t that great, the real enjoyment was in the interactivity. It’s so new, it’s so fresh that it has to be marveled. I should have expected nothing less from Black Mirror.
