Unwatchable
DARK PRISM is an independent sci-fi/horror production that I had the misfortune to view on Amazon Prime. Occasionally there’ll be a semi-decent independent feature on offer on that website but not so here; this is very poor indeed, purely because it’s so badly written and confusing.

Instead of going down the blood-and-guts exploitation route, the writers of this multi-strand effort try to offer something complex, psychological, and genre-bending; the result is completely obtuse from start to finish. The action is staged very poorly, the acting is quite appalling, and some stock footage from old Troma movies is incongruously inserted into the middle of the production just when you thought it couldn’t get any more bizarre. I don’t know what the intention was here, but it certainly doesn’t work.
