I started watching, as a guy, to be titillated; but found myself falling in love with the two main characters – especially Niven’s character (Rebecca). So often, beautiful women have hard, or too ‘sculptured’ faces (and bodies). But these two, esp. Rebecca, had kind – and sweet faces, that were at the same time stunning, hypnotic. I suppose that’s subjective. And Rebecca’s body seemed so real, not Photoshop’d. At first I thought the plot was unbelievable … but then read an article in the Telegraph (UK) that escort services that provide women for other women are a burgeoning business. The clients are much like Rebecca: older, well off, and in doubt about their sexuality.Nicole Conn does too much cutting – but I guess that is her signature -and the background music is a bit ‘camp’ as they used to say: but lends a certain unusual aura. Very different kind of movie. Also, prereqs for me to any film is that: 1) I want to know what’s going to happen next 2) I find the characters sympathetic. Both were met.
