A cool and impressive film but a bit too raw
This film left a strong impression, the cutting back and forth between the struggle deliverer and Alice showering was quite genius. I was loving it until the very last shot. The ending is impressive in its own way, but I didn’t see a reason to do so. The phone ring from the child of the deliverer also didn’t have any pre context. And the guy being fired appears to be simply setting up for the plot. The tension has been very interesting throughout, but the last shot appears to be stepping over the line a little, it is perhaps the filmmaker’s attention to create unsettling feelings. However the last shot appears to be doing it way to much than necessary, it breaks the continuity of the previously established plot, as well as making the unsettling feeling a reality, which breaks the magic in my opinion. Nonetheless this film left a very strong impression, and the potential underline theme is complex as well as deep in its own way.
