Worth a watch
I liked the movie. The acting was average, better than lots of lower budget for sure. It was hard to like any of the characters. Not sure if thats because the script or acting though. I thought the effects were really good. Its like they took their money and focused on 1 thing which is a mistake others make. I didnt like the political correctness they threw in. I watch tv to get lost in an imaginary world and dont need pc thrown in. Even though i am a woman doesnt mean i watch movies where women the heros. Lots of times those movies suck.

Beware the demon in the woods
A fracking crew that’s been drilling on sacred Native American ground disturb the resting place of lethal demon Molok (a spot-on spooky portrayal by Samhein). Six teens doing community service in the woods run afoul of Molok.

Writer/director Josh Crook relates the enjoyable and engrossing story at a snappy pace, ably crafts a creepy atmosphere, takes time to develop the characters, maintains a grimly serious take-no-prisoners tone throughout, and makes nice use of the verdant sylvan scenery. The sound acting by the capable cast keeps this movie humming: Samantha Scaffidi as the sassy Luce, Paris Campbell as the tough Reggie, Laura Barbiea as snooty and spoiled brat Befany, Summer Bliss as the brash Tiffany, Adrian Coles as the easygoing Doug, Steve Lipman as nerdy misfit Gary, and Austin Ramsey as likeable rich jock Kyle. Guy Morgan’s crisp widescreen cinematography provides a pleasing polished look. Lizard McGee’s shivery score hits the shuddery spot. A cool little fright flick.
