No pun intended – and I do not mean to make light of Hallmark movies. Unless you find them annoying – but why are you here if that is the case? I think the title is quite the easy giveaway. Lohan plays an adorable and yet quite shallow character … some may confuse her character with her own personality. I do not know her, but I would assume she is way more than that. Also: acting.

All that aside, the movie and the story (if you can call it that) is quite predictable. We know where this is going … suspend your disbelief, check your cynicism at the door and just watch it and enjoy the silliness and … well whatever you would call this “sweet” movie.

Also there are some fun bloppers/gag reel at the end of the movie (during the end credits)

If you like the cast & holiday movies, you’re gold
This is a standard holiday movie with a predictable script. Plug in some actors and production is good to go.

What matters, then, is do you want to watch a holiday romcom? (Yes for me or why would I be here) And are you the generation that likes the actors selected? (Yes again, same response.)

People being harsh to this movie are obviously not the target audience.

The acting is good. The entire cast meshes well.

The scenery is impressive. The set design warm.

Plot moves along nicely, though predictably (what holiday movie doesn’t)

They weren’t going for an Academy award winner here, just a nice story/well told. And that’s gold enough.
