Ghosted wrestles with its tone as it decides whether it’s a goofy rom-com or a more serious spy thriller. While very much in the vein of Knight and Day or The Killers, Ghosted doesn’t stay committed to comedy throughout. The jokes come and go, with Chris Evans taking most of the comedy side and Ana de Armas taking most of the action. The tone might be conflicted, but the fun never stops. Solid action sequences, car chases, exotic locations, and elegant gowns and suits – Ghosted has all the essential elements of a classic spy film. The jokes land better than The Gray Man’s quips, and the action is better than Red Notice’s set pieces giving Ghosted a slight edge over its streaming adventure competition. It’s a flawed movie for certain, with an out-of-place soundtrack and identity crisis, but what it does well makes it interesting enough for a watch and possibly even a sequel. …maybe

“Ghosted is a tremendous catastrophe. When the only memorable moments of the entire film are the myriad cameos totally disconnected from the story itself, little else can be said about it. Visual effects, action, and script are a seriously shocking mess, to the point of affecting the performances and chemistry of a renowned cast. One of the worst editing works in recent years. One of the most prominent, frustrating wastes of talent in front of and behind the camera. Very far from the “so bad it’s good” status.”

Honestly What the Heck?
No disrespect to the two leads, but fire your agents or stay away from bad film choices.

6 writers and that’s the absolute best they could come up with?! The dialogue was brutal, the cameos were wasted, the action scenes were boring, and ok I will stop now.

Chris Evans go back to Captain America. Ana De Armas we need to figure out what to do with you.

This was one of the worst AppleTV original movies thus far. I cannot possibly recommend this mess. Nothing was good really. It wasn’t funny, despite trying to be, nor was it exciting despite trying to be.

Stay clear of this atrocity. It’s the worst.

Wokism will eat itself; an insult to feminism
This was sad.

Ana de Armas is incredibly pretty. Chris Evans is a very pretty boy. Adrien Brody is a very pretty European looking bad guy. Mustafa Shakir is incredibly handsome. Pretty much everybody looks like a model in this. The only “realistic” looking character in this is Anna Deavere Smith, who gets about 2min of screen time.

Now, if we want a female character kicking ass like we see here, we need someone like Rhonda Patrick. John Wick, Jason Bourne, those ass kickers aren’t frail characters. At least, Alicia Vikander in Tomb Raider was genuinely athletic, and importantly, she wasn’t shown beating men up much. It made suspension of disbelief easier.

Ana de Armas’ hair was virtually perfect throughout. I guess we get what we deserve as a society, but while the story looks like it’s empowering women, it’s really just an insult to feminism. Because it is possible to be the wonderfully delicate young flower who’s the love interest of the powerful man. But you can’t look like that, and kick that kind of ass. That’s yet another level of impossible standard for girls to reach. Magic is not a thing.

So, i found it sad.
