Plot: Hot Property is an (un)romantic comedy about love, greed and estate agents. Melody Munro is a corporate spy with a big problem – she’s spending everything she has and a few things she hasn’t on her lavish lifestyle. But when she gets caught embezzling money from her company she is fired on the spot. No more car, no more credit cards, she can’t even afford Nespresso capsules. When her (now ex) friend and landlord calls to throw her out of the flat, it is the final blow. She will take no more. Melody vows to defend ‘her’ home at all costs. Great film: the perfect mix of fun, wit, and social critique.
This film skewers everyone – gentrifiers, estate agents, taste-makers, hipsters, landlords, and that very specific type of blonde beauty, only found in London, who makes a career of looking too good for people to say no to. Melody is toxic and you’ll adore her anyways, and her victims are too hip or too hapless to see it coming. A great watch for anyone with a landlord, an empty wallet, or a gag reflex triggered by concept food.

Boring and shallow
Pro tip: The clips during the closing credits are the only funny thing about this movie. Skip to 1hr17 and after that watch a good movie, not this one.
