Nice debut
I rented the movie a few nights ago and watched it with my wife. The relationship between the main characters was nicely developed so that the events that occur in the final act actually mean something. Good story which is the most important element to me. Very enjoyable. Good use of the City of Oxnard. it was good to see Michael DeLorenzo again . I haven’t really seen him since his days on Ny Undercover. I think he was on a SHOWTIME series but that was a few years ago. I did a little research and discovered that this was a story based on the writer- directors own experience growing up.I look forward to seeing his next film.
