Terribly beautiful homage to Swiss Cheese
The movie is bloody awesome , good fun and well made for a low budget movie. Everything was filmed in Switzerland with beautiful scenery and very authentic. Yes, it’s about a grown-up Heidi but nothing like the classic “Heimatfilm”. The Swiss directors have tried well to exploit all the clichés and pay tribute to other exploitation genre movies. There will be blood, cheesy jokes but also great acting. You will get to see unconventional fighting scenes. The body count will be lower than Hot Shots Part Deux and there will be some seventies style Nudity. For Swiss people there will be more inside jokes to enjoy. Some viewers will think the Swiss are crazy, some will love it and others will not. IMBD says write more words… So, this movie is like cheese fondue. You can get it out of the packet ready made from the supermarket or you do it the traditional way adding your own local Swiss cheeses with their unique distinct taste and secret ingredients. It takes time and effort but it’s more enjoyable.

Good trash!
Mad Heidi is trash! … and that’s a good thing. The film has a very high quality and thus leaves many other trash films behind. Actors, setting, cinematography – all great! Johannes Hartmann did a great job with the film and created a wonderful (Swiss) ploitation film that is at the forefront of the genre.

If you like Switzerland, you will love all the clichés. Cheese, chocolate or the Swiss army knife are just a few examples.

In terms of acting, Casper Van Dien and Max Rüdlinger stand out in particular. Van Dien plays the slimy “very Swiss leader” with great humor, while Rüdlinger, with his Swiss accent, plays Commander Knorr with exaggerated spite.

The cinematography shows the most beautiful sides of Switzerland, while the action comes along with lots of blood, splatter and killing jokes.
