Synopsis

Peter, a sensitive and shy teen, dreams of leaving his small northern Ontario town to pursue life as an artist, but his homophobic father intends to ‘make him a man’ instead. Forcing him on a hunting trip one cold winter break, tensions run high and Peter runs away. Lost, cold and reaching his breaking point, Peter meets Jack, who’s also desperate to escape his toxic family situation. A romance quickly develops between the two teenage boys as they hide away in a secluded cabin, discovering each other and themselves. But the world outside eventually pulls them back and they’re forced to face the circumstances they tried to flee, which will ultimately tear them apart.
Plot: A 2000’s Romeo and Juliet in small town Ontario, where love does not win, but surviving players grow up to accept themselves as members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Yeah it dragged…but the ending!
The ending spoke a trillion words all at once. This movie did something Ive never seen done before but you have to pay attention and see the characters for thier obviosities not “over the top” comparison. This movie hit home. It rang of realism. Build to climax.

I really wanted to like this movie … in fact I live for these kinds of movies … but it was impossible. First, the Romeo and Juliet comparison is not accurate at all. Second, the movie is full of bad and over the top acting. And third the plot, character motivations and actions doesn’t make sense at all… it’s all a big mess. I’m sad to say this, but dont waste your time with this movie.
