Plot: Robert and Nina Tracy were once a happy couple, but eight years of marriage has taken a toll on their relationship. They decide to call it quits and get a divorce. In their ensuing freedom, they are excited to dive back into the world of dating. Nina has a date with a suave actor, and Robert meets a blonde bombshell. However, when their dalliances get complicated, they quickly realize that single life might not be what they bargained for.

Whimisical updating of the Awful Truth
The four stars make a marvelous quadrangle, and the physical comedy is great. My one disappointment is Richard Quine’s direction. Lemmon must’ve liked him because they did at least 3 movies together, but he always seems to be trying to unexplicably extract pathos out of screwball situations, and this technique quickly wears thin. That aside, still a lot of fun.
