A great example of why stories like this need to be exposed.
A great study into the depth of the soul of which a person will sell themselves for the need, the very depth of that dark corner inside, to protect their family. Ms.Joanne Kelly is outstanding as is the writing. The underlining story of the son rebelling against the norm of following in the family path was outstanding. The father’s subtle disapproval was only matched by the mother’s need to protect and understand. The final scene as Betty drove away, the look off set by the contents in the back of the truck, drove the final nail home at the determination, at all costs, to save the way of life at any cost.I drove almost four hours to the only theater in my state airing this work of art. And it was worth every mile.

Runoff: Strong Start / Compelling End in Debut with Timeless Plot
Kimberly Levin, in her writer/director debut of this full feature independent film, demonstrates her nature talents and simultaneously displays the Southern beauty of farm life in Kentucky.

The story details some tough decisions in hard economic conditions of the simple life of farmers everywhere. The film skillfully avoids any references to time other than the setting of Halloween in October.

Ever so easy for movie goers to relate, each cast member seems to be naturally perfect for their roles protruded and are instantly respected and recognized for their decisions made.

The audience is captivated by the wonders of bee keeping, dangers of farm animals, amazement of grass hoppers, and what is going to happen next.

The movie ends with a peaceful calm albeit with several questions left for the audience debates during the after-party. We want more from this team!
