Campy but entertaining
Sex Lies and Death is a Colombian soap opera; complete with ham acting and god awful background music. That being said, I was entertained by the story of lust(lesbian, although tepid), betrayal and murder for most of the eighty six minutes. The Rottweiler is probably the best actor in this film, but at least the actresses provide eye candy, wearing thongs, and occasionally nothing at all. My personal favorite, a Halle Berry look-a-like, Carolina Sepulveda, as Lorena, one of the main protagonists, is in the middle of the fun filled shenanigans. Plot twists are frequent, so if you are seeking a quick escape from a “serious” movie with important themes, Sex Lies and Death could be your cup of tea.
