Something for the fans…
I sat down to watch the 2021 animated holiday special titled “Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne” with my 11 year old son today.

And this was sort of bland. I mean, for an animated movie for kids the message was a bit too heavy, and my son didn’t seem to take much liking to it. I supposed it was just too serious in its storyline. And me, as an adult, well I found it to be watchable, albeit somewhat bland.

The animation was good, and it definitely reminded me of the “Snoopy” animations I used to watch on TV as a boy back in the day.

I suppose that the 2021 “Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne” is for the fans of the “Snoopy” and “Peanut” franchise, not really for casual viewers like myself or my son.

This is not something that I will be returning to watch a second time.

My rating of directoy Clay Kaytis’ “Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne” lands on a less than mediocre four out of ten stars.

Perfect animation, great voices, and wonderful timeless characters! As usual, an underlying set of heart-warming messages sprinkled with cute little skits. This will never get old for me, even now after enjoying it for over 50 years! 🙂
