Watch: Sonja i bik 2012 123movies, Full Movie Online – A comedy about two people with different world-views, from different places, whose fate, with the help from a bull Garonja (a name given to the black bulls in villages of Croatia), intertwine. Ante (Goran Bogdan) is a peasant from Dalmatian hinterland, a son of an bull fights organizer, and skilled insurance salesman. He is known by his powers of persuasion. At the voting for the Law for animal protection, biggest controversy is considering bull fights. Sonja (Judita Frankovic) is from Zagreb, an inveterate activist fighting for animal rights. In Dalmatian hinterland nobody can understand her attitude. They conclude that Sonja, regardless of the declared intense love of animals, would not dare stand in front of a bull. About Sonja and Anthony , the central pair who in his romantic comedy game going a little farther – a little back, a series of actions is carried out in the style of a wild untamed satire at the expense of local “yellow” media and important institutions such as the Croatian Parliament..
Plot: Sonja, a city girl from Zagreb, a vegetarian and a hardcore animal-rights activist, strongly opposes bullfighting in Dalmatinska zagora (Dalmatian Hinterland). People find this irritating and they conclude that no matter how passionately Sonja loves animals, she would never dare to stand in front of a bull. Bets are raised and Sonja faces a challenge in the form of Ante, known far and wide for his powers of persuasion.

It’s a good movie!
Personally, I liked the movie very much and would recommend it. It’s really one of the best Croatian movies. It’s true though that it’s not a comedy in the proper sense of the word. It’s more like a romantic comedy. In the end it’s not about fighting for the animal rights, it’s about the love story between two main characters. Still, I think they make a sweet couple. The movie doesn’t contain a lot of “obvious” jokes. The jokes are rather subtle (may i use that word to describe it) and I’m not sure whether the foreigners would be able to understand them. The humor in this movie is more about the mentality of the Croatian hinterland rather than about making obvious jokes. To sum up, although there are a lot of movies that are better than Sonja and the Bull, I think most of the viewers should like this movie. The only catch is that you shouldn’t expect a “proper” comedy.

Not bad at all…
I never was a big fan of Croatian cinematography, all though i’m a Croat, and a rather conservative one!:-) But, this was a pleasant surprise. Refreshing, modern movie, with decent acting from the main actors. Almost impressive, but it does have a few flaws…It’s supposed to be a comedy, but I could not find more than a few good jokes, and that was maybe a bit disappointing…but overall; it was obvious to me that the movie was influenced with the modern Hollywood kind-off romantic comedies ( harsh language, drugs, alcohol, sex or in this case just some eroticism-SORRY, KIND OF A SPOILER…) and it did a pretty good job! I can’t think of more than a few romantic comedies from the West released lately that can match this movie ( Silver Linings Playbook, Safety Not Guaranteed…), there could be more but maybe I missed it. It lacked a few good old romantic songs, we Croats have a lot of those and that’s always a bonus for me when it comes to this kind of movies… but, anyway, i was satisfied and that’s the most important thing. I recommend it to anyone for a good Sunday Movie night!
