High school indie drama
THE DIABOLICAL is a high school indie drama wrongly labelled as a horror movie. Instead this is a psychological drama about a young girl suffering mentally after the death of her sister. She suffers from the usual hallucinations and nightmares that are a stock element of the indie genre. Very little happens of interest here, and the cheap camera-work makes for an ugly-looking film. Add in the thin characterisation and there’s really not much reason to bother.
