Watch: The Perfect Summer 2013 123movies, Full Movie Online – In The Perfect Summer, fatherless teenager Jake (Adam Horner) is happy living in Chicago, until his mother (Sydney Penny) decides to uproot them to a small surfing town where her estranged father (Eric Roberts), Jake’s grandfather, lives. The transition isn’t easy for anyone and it seems everywhere he goes, Jake manages to make enemies, including the town bully, Tyler (JD Banks), who doesn’t like the new interloper or his interest in young surfing prodigy, Kayla (Katie Garfield). Stuck in the beach town with no friends and no knowledge of surfing, Jake has nowhere to turn until Cody (Jason Castro), the local surf shop owner, reveals that Jake’s grandfather is a surf legend. Tired of feeling like an outcast, Jake asks Lou to teach him about surfing. Jake learns to face his fears, push through inhibitions and realizes that winning the respect of his new peers – and Katie’s heart – might mean facing the biggest challenge of his life..

Fun and interesting movie!
I really enjoyed the movie–and the music! I expected to see Jason Castro performing, but he didn’t! However, some of his songs played in the background. Still, another song “Everyday” featured in the movie really caught my attention. Like the movie, the song is very uplifting–and just made me feel good! So much so, that I searched it, found it was written and sung by Tyrus Morgan, went to his website and ordered the album Straight Line. Almost every song on this album has the same uplifting melodies–now I can listen to “Everyday” every day!

Eric Roberts was fantastic!

So–I recommend the movie, as well as the music!

More of a parody than anything else…
Nothing wrong with safe family friendly titles…The Perfect Summer has those safe family friendly qualities with some really solid acting from the film vets like Eric Roberts. Sydney Penny and Louis Mandylor.

Its Adam Horner and his story arc that really turns this movie into a parody. First it’s his decision to play the role of 17yr old disgruntled teen like a 11yr old disgruntled pre-teen and let’s not even get into the fact that he looks like a 30year old (even though he was 21yrs old at the time of filming)

Overall it’s not a terrible film if you enjoy family friendly titles just don’t take it too serious.
