You have to rate a movie for what it was meant to be. “The Thing About Harry” is a romcom. It is cute and fun. For that I give it a 10.

Overall a great movie, but kinda of annoying in places
It was really refreshing to see a gay romance that doesn’t revolve around one off characters struggling to come to terms with his sexuality or dealing with coming out.The casting and acting were great … certainly way better that many American LGBT themed movies.
But the will-they-or-won’t-they drug on for way to long. Some of the other reviews mentioned allusions to When Harry Meet Sally. Maybe I would’ve enjoyed this more if I’d seen that movie.
And the evolution to “best friends” happened way too fast given all the other stuff going on around them.
Still, it was much better than movies like Love, Simon.
