The use of LSD in this film is wildly inaccurate
Decent movie, great cast and some clever humour but the use of LSD is far from realistic. For a more accurate depiction of psychedelics please watch Midsommar.

Intriguing story – superbly acted !!
I was totally involved and fascinated with the true story this movie is based on. The performances were very believable – and really good !! Richard Gere was just phenomenal as was Peter Dinklage. The film adeptly portrays “group therapy” at a time when psychology was more an experiment than therapy. The efficacy of Gere’s conduct in this group is called in question when he starts to manipulate the three Christ subjects —- which he later slips and says there were 4 Christs in the group. I found the film very smart – the directing very clever- Jon Avnet knows how to tell a dramatic story ! I was involved and enjoyed seeing the psychological study of the characters. The film makes a heavy statement on the treatment of our mentally ill which exists to this day. Bravo !! Three Christs
