Ilhan is absolutely delightful

This film is important on a variety of levels

At the most basic, it is a behind the scenes look at how to lay the groundwork for a grass roots campaign at the local level. Ilhan’s district consists of several oppositional sections including The University of Minnesota, an immigrant community called Riverside, and older and more stable neighborhoods.

Ilhan and her team build a grass roots campaign to incorporate and appeal to each of her constituencies, and it’s a fantastic look behind the curtain

Secondly, this documentary offers a glimpse into the life of a now transcendent and notorious national political figure before the national media knew anything about her, and follows her through the turmoil of Fox News attempting to end her career by dredging up her personal history and running misleading or untrue headlines about her

Watching her have the audacity to take on these challenges head first was inspiring but also maddening, as it gives a wonderful behind the scenes of the difficulties of operating as a public figure in 2019

The above reviews are obviously trolls who at best are not aware of Ilhan and did not see the film, at worst they are the worst kind of internet trolls, white supremacists who are only here to suppress anything they consider threatening

I challenge everyone to seek out this film and address Ilhan’s campaign on the merits. Disagree with her on the issues, so be it. But if you are merely triggered by her existence you better run and hide, because she’s not going anywhere, and you’re racism won’t be able to hide behind a screen name forever.

Time for Ilhan is fantastic, 100/10 would recommend

Excellent Viewing
I found Time for Ilhan incredibly insightful, interesting and well made. Its a very inspiring, timely story, seeing what she’s battled. I’m hoping for a “Time for Ihan” Part Two. There’s so much more to tell!
