Serial killing without a budget
WEEKEND KILLER is a cheap and staged indie thriller about a bunch of cops hunting for a sadistic serial killer; you know the routine by now. What’s disappointing about this police procedural is that it’s all talk, taking place in a variety of locations: offices, homes, you name it. There’s one fairly nasty scene at the outset, but the rest is merely a mish-mash of hard-working actors and lacklustre scripting.
