Reviews:

Better than last years Summerslam!
Clearly, this years summer slam was way better than last years summer slam because of all the matches and the fact it was 4 hours made it something to enjoy! I was surprised the most by Stephen Amell making his in ring debut by teaming up with Neville. it was amazing! I did think Jon Stewart hosting was OK but not great. I loved all the matches and the fact that there was more matches this year than last year. I ain’t gonna say any spoilers but let me tell you something, you need to watch this years summer slam because it was flat out awesome! plus it is gonna be held in Brooklyn,NY for the next 2 years so that will be a sight to behold. I very much enjoyed Summerslam 2015! (Watched it on the WWE Network not DVD)

Summer-Slam! More like Summer-Scam! What a disappointing PPV!
I’m sorry to say this, but the hottest event of the summer really got mixed lukewarm results, when it ended, its four hour show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY! For me, personally; I really didn’t like this long ass show, at all! Honestly, it’s not the worst, Summerslam PPV, I have ever saw. However, Summerslam 2015, should had been a lot better, than yesteryear, pro-wrestling events, due to how mature and complex, it has gotten. Regardless, the 28th event under the SummerSlam chronology, didn’t live up to the hype. First off, I stand firmly against WWE’s decision to expand Summerslam to four hours; because watching four-hours of pro-wrestling is way too much for the casual viewer. Maybe, it could work for the WWE fanboys, but still, finding time to watch all this, in one-sit could be really hard to do. It’s even harder, if you count the pre-show and the after-show, because you’re looking at 6 hours of repetitive content. In my opinion, there is no reason to watch the pre-show, because, surprising, there is no pre-show match, for this card. Still, there were plenty of wrestling matches contested at the event, that will keep you, stuck, watching your TV. Depending, on, how big of a fan, you are, and what time of the day, you watch this. By the time, you reach the main event, you might, end up, being really tired of seeing the square-ring. Here are several reasons why I didn’t think the 4 hours works. First off, the creative team typically tries to cram more wrestlers into the show than is feasibly possible, and as a result, we are forced to sit through a glorified, extended version of Summerslam with more pointless backstage segments, stupid skits and more TV time for the guys who don’t really need it. I know this sounds pessimistic of me, but I refuse to believe that the WWE will use its additional hour properly until I see it happen on a consistent PPV basis. A big part of me knows that, more time means more crap that has nothing to do with –pro-wrestling would be added to the show like product placement skits. Don’t be surprised to see, the announcers plug Edge aftershave and Mountain Dew, here. Another problem is that, the show will have several replays of segments that already happened on the show, as if we already forgotten, what happen, a few hours ago. I doubt, our memory is that horrible, WWE. In my opinion, adding another hour to the runtime of the wrestling show, doesn’t make, the wrestling show, any better. Clearly, WWE didn’t use it, wisely. While, the event was the first since 2008 to be held outside of Los Angeles, CA. The show felt a bit too Hollywood. It opens with celebrity/ex talk show host, Jon Stewart in the ring welcoming us to the show. He panders to the Brooklyn crowd to get a cheap pop. He waste time, with a very unfunny skit with hometown hero/ex-wrestler, Mick ‘Mankind’ Foley. It felt like filler. After that sad attempt of comedy, we finally get, our first match, Randy Orton Vs Sheamus. A rematch from the previous month PPV. Honestly, I wasn’t really looking forward to this match. They two, fought each other, way too much. Without spoiling it; the match ends in a predictable way, with no real advantage for anybody. Tag Team Champions Prime Time Players vs. Lucha Dragons vs. Los Matadores vs. New Day was next. This was held under fatal four way rules that saw plenty of action and comedy highlights. Now this is the match that should have started the PPV off! However, there were some really bad botches from a certain wrestler, known for messing up moves. Still, the New Day’s opening promo was filled with an “amazing” rendition of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ NYC anthem is a must-watch. Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev is after that match. I really didn’t like, the ‘love-triangle’ build of this storyline, because how cheesy, unrealistic and soapy, it got. I really could care for this match. This angle and the match results make everybody look bad. Tag Team match with Stephen Amell & Neville vs. Stardust & King Barrett follows this mess. This match straight out the pages of a comic book was surprising good. Celebrity, Stephen Amell, best known for playing Oliver Queen on the TV Show, “Arrow”, was alright in the ring. The next match is more questionable. Intercontinental Champion Ryback vs. The Miz vs. Big Show was your typical triple threat match. It was pretty predictable, who was going to win. Following this match was Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper. This match was nothing new. Nothing really amazing, worth noting. United States Champion John Cena vs. WWE Champion Seth Rollins for both of the titles was the best match of the night. However, without spoiling it, the match ends with a very disappointing twist. The woman match was next. Elimination Match (Team P.C.B) Paige, Charlotte, Becky Lynch vs. (Team B.A.D) Naomi, Tamina, Sasha Banks vs. (Team Bella) Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Alicia Fox. This match was very predictable. In my opinion, this match was very stagnant to the so-called Divas Revolution. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens for a filler match was alright. However, forgettable. Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar was the main event. It was intense and vicious, but the awkward place, swerve in the match wasn’t worth continuing the revenge for the lost to WrestleMania feud. Overall: The Brooklyn crowd’s reaction were great. Glad, they didn’t run out of energy. There were eating up everything. Much better crowd reaction, than any of the Izod Center crowd in East Rutherford, NJ, ever had. Glad, Izod drop out, earlier in the year from hosting. It made the show, entertaining. However, the PPV matches need more simple stories, more clear-cut winners and no fillers. Then, maybe, it could had A+ for me.
