Tight little thriller
Eden wants to get in an exclusive university so she’s attends a “Heaven and Hell” party to try and butter up a board member’s (Dermot Mulroney) son in hopes he’ll get his dad to write a recommendation letter. Class warfare ensues at said party where Eden and her friend Zara get trapped in the house of horrors.

A bit in uneven, but we’ll paced and fun. It moves at a fast clip and the young actors do a fine job. Anne Heche and Dermot Mulroney show and chew up the scenery, making this an easy watch. There is a bit of carnage with spoonful of social commentary, but it’s all in good fun for what is a tight little thriller.

Pretty Intense Thriller
What stuck with me about this thriller and made me want to comment is how well it balances the action thrills with the heady psychology as the characters end up going to balance. There is no certainly no lack of clever action bits, but whenever the characters are forced to outsmart or undermine each other, it gives the acting an opportunity to really stand out. That is even taken to the next level as Dermot Mulroney and Anne Heche enter the film, both at the top of their game as well. They make a great pair onscreen with really believable chemistry. And of course, it is definitely fun and moving to see Anne Heche shine.
