Alexandra is a smart cookie and has found a link between these unexplained mysterious deaths and the partners wives. But now her only problem is proving that a killer is on the loose and saving herself from the deadly Black Widow.
Plot: Federal agent Alexandra Barnes believes that Catherine Petersen is a serial killer who marries rich men and then murders them for their money. But since Catherine is seemingly a master of disguise and has multiple identities, Alexandra can’t prove anything with conventional detective work. With no other option, she goes undercover, pursuing the same man as Catherine, and hoping that Catherine will slip up and reveal her true identity.

Catharine Petersen has a nasty habit.She marries wealthy men and then kills them by poisoning.Justice Department agent Alex Barnes knows there’s something fishy going on.She goes undercover to get near Catharine.Those two meet in Hawaii.There is also the last husband candidate Paul Nuytten.Both of the women find him desirable.Black Widow from 1987 is directed by the veteran director Bob Rafelson.There’s a good cast in this film.Debra Winger as Alex and Theresa Russell as Catharine are fantastic.Sami Frey portrays Paul.Dennis Hopper, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in May at the age of 74, plays the toymaker husband Ben Dumers.Nicol Williamson is William McCrory.Terry O’Quinn plays Bruce, Alex’s Boss.James Hong plays H. Shin-Honolulu private investigator.Diane Ladd is Edda.Lois Smith is Sara.Christian Clemenson portrays Artie.David Mamet does a cameo as Herb, the lucky poker player.There’s some great stuff in this film.There’s that menacing feeling when those two women do some underwater activity.The movie gets above average giving you enough thrills.
